Anna Maclean ACCA

Team Manager

Anna works closely with apprentices providing support and training, as well as overseeing their day to day tasks.

She has five years experience in managing SMEs within a variety of industries, and has helped train apprentices at different levels, supporting them through AAT qualifications & assisting with professional development.

Selina Davey

Senior Accountant

Selina has vast experience working with micro entity clients in a top 100 accountancy firm. Specialising in financial statement preparation, Selina will be in working in Micro’s year end department and will have involvement in our mid-year review service along with other consultancy services.

Lauren Brooks AATQB

Junior Accountant

Lauren has been instrumental in helping build and shape the SAS Micro team.  

Lauren earned a first-class degree in Teaching from the University of Winchester before transitioning into accountancy. In her role, she handles VAT returns, self-assessments, and year-end accounts, while also liaising with HMRC and conducting mid-year reviews to keep clients on track. Beyond the numbers, she plays a key role in training new team members, sharing her knowledge, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

David Sunkel

Junior Accountant

David is a valued member of the SAS Micro team, bringing a strong foundation in customer service and a fresh perspective on accounting.


He holds a BA in Product Design from Bournemouth University and made the decision to transition into finance, proactively self-funding his AAT Level 2 qualification. With his sights now set on completing ACA, David is steadily building his expertise in the field. His role includes a focus on bookkeeping, where he is developing core skills and gaining hands-on experience.

Stephen McDonnell

Accounting Apprentice

Stephen joins us at SAS Micro as our dedicated accounting apprentice and is already making great strides in his role.

With guidance from our experienced team, he’s quickly getting to grips with the ins and outs of finance and accountancy. Day-to-day, Stephen is involved in bookkeeping, data entry, and assisting with VAT returns, while also studying towards his AAT qualification. His attention to detail and eagerness to learn are already making a positive impact, and we’re excited to see him continue to grow and develop within the team.

Joseph Robbins

Accounting Apprentice

Joe has joined SAS Micro as an Accounting Apprentice and is steadily progressing in his role.

With guidance from our team, he is gaining experience in finance and accountancy. His daily tasks include bookkeeping, data entry, and assisting with VAT returns, while he works towards his AAT qualification.

Chloe Scott

Onboarding Manager

After spending the last 5 years building the ever expanding Virtual Finance department up from the ground, Chloe has recently taken on a new venture here at SAS. Chloe now oversees the client Onboarding process and is now our Onboarding specialist. This is the perfect role for Chloe and her skill set and with the knowledge she has gained over the last few years, she is best equipped to provide our new prospective clients with the service and care that they deserve.

Carrie Foster

Payroll Manager

Carrie, heads up our payroll department, bringing over 20 years of experience across multiple companies. She is highly organised and an expert in all aspects of payroll, including P11Ds. Known for her attention to detail, she consistently identifies and corrects errors left by previous accountants. Beyond managing payroll efficiently, she also educates our clients on best practices and process improvements, helping them streamline their payroll operations.
